Unusual symptoms

I feel internal shaking, when I’m walking.
It’s so strange, I need to stop and hold on as my whole body shakes inside
Anyone else get this?

Hello gcy. I don’t experience this but know it is a symptom of PD that some people do. As such it might be worth checking if it can be helped with medication by asking the doctor or nurse providing your care. Good luck. It sounds very unpleasant so I hope you find a solution soon. Tx

Hi gcy,

Is the ‘shaking’ only internal, or do you find that your arms/hands shake as well?

My whole body shakes, never happens when I’m seated, driving etc

Its like a fit

I don’t think that it’s a fit/seizure.
If it was, you would actually feel like you have to have to lie down and you would not actually be aware of things around you.
A seizure is not as bad as epilepsy but basically a first cousin.
I have seizures, that is how I know.
I really feel you should consult a doctor about this.
Could it not be as a result of any medication you are on?

I agree Clive, its not a fit,as I’m conscious all the time. I’ve been on the same meds for 5 years, no point in contacting GP, they dont know enough about parkinsons, I’ll phone my parkinsons nurse,

Hi gcy,

I agree totally, a GP has really limited knowledge on PD, other than to refer you to Neuro.
I see you have contact with a PD nurse.
Can you not perhaps get an appointment with a neurologist as well?
It always helps to see them if only once a year or once every two years.
I’m not sure how it works in the UK with the NHS.
