Use of Botox

Hi, this is my first post. I have been diagnosed since October 2015 and worked until 2018, and am now retired. I have developed a forward leaning head/neck and have been advised to have Botox injected my neck. Has anyone had it and what was the results? I am petrified of having these injections , I am afraid that the botox will migrate to my throat and stop me swallowing!111. Any advise will help as my appointment is creeping up on me and I am getting more anxious about it by the day, which as we know does Parkinsons no good at all to be anxious.

Hello Anne54
Please see the link Jason posted as there is a woman who underwent similar as you have been recommended very successfully. She gives more information.
I created the topic because my husband was recommended botox for shortened hamstring muscles. We never did find a medical clinic willing to undertake this for him because we were sent in another direction with an orthopaedic surgeon who offered to operate on my husband’s knee joint that is broken. Thus became my husband’s priority (some might say obsession) he waited 18 months for this operation, underwent all the pre op procedures. The orthopaedic team called him in a week before his given admission date and told him they considered him too high risk to go through the operation. He had originally has Sepsis and a previous 17 operations on his right knee.
Sadly this has hit him hard and his desire to seek botox to release his hamstrings as he is now a full time wheelchair user has been forgotten.
That all said I do believe finding the right medical person (we were advised to search for a cerebral palsy clinic) able to administer the botox will provide you with good results.
Hope to hear success from you. Best Wishes Jane
