My husband has had various scans and tests and different doctors have diagnosed Vascular Dementia, Vascular Parkinsonism or Parkinsons! He doesn’t have mobility problems but does suffer badly from memory loss, anxiety and confusion for which he has been recommended group therapy. However, the waiting list is going to be months and I wonder if anyone knows of organisations which provide group therapy which could help these problems - we don’t mind paying. It has also been suggested that he take Memantine - this seems to be an Alzheimer’s drug which may help with anxiety. At the end of the day it would be great to have a definitive diagnosis and drugs or therapy which may help.
