Do people with Parkinsons qualify for VAT relief on eg building works? If so, how do we go about claiming it? We are in the process of having a new shower fitted as my husband can no longer use a bath. It would be most helpful if the 20% VAT quoted on the works didn’t have to be paid.
Hello, we had our bath removed and a walk-in shower installed for my husband a few months ago. I think you could be eligible for VAT exemption but the company doing the work obviously has to be VAT registered. Good luck with it all. It’s made such a difference to my husband… and me! Only wish we’d done it sooner. Jean
