Volunteering for Parkinson's

I volunteer with Parkinson'sUK to give back for the support  I got when I cared for my mother as she coped with Parkinson's. I learned so much about PD thought I should do something with the things I know and lived through with my Mum. So I am now involved with the Research and Campaigns networks, am a Lay Grant reviewer and on the Brain Bank panel as a lay member. I've been a healthy control in research - and respond whenever I can to whatever I can to move forward to a cure, better treatment and to improve quality of life for pwp. I joined the forum to learn and share more!

Thank you for your support  and for sharing your reasons for being an active volunteer.

best wishes
