@Easter I rarely let it get to the stage where people get to say that to me ( I actively promote a grumpy old git persona so people don’t engage in conversation with me) but if some persistent person does manage to get to ask I just shrug, smile and normally say “Well there you go” what I really want to say at some point is " Maybe you should go to Specsavers then "

Haha, love the Specsavers response! It’s so frustrating when people drop those “but you don’t look sick” comments like it’s a compliment. Playing the grumpy old git persona sounds like a solid strategy to keep the unsolicited opinions away.

When people know i have Parkinson’s I get a lot of them say, “ Well you never know” they have most likely only been with me for a few minuets I often feel like telling them about how I really am but would take to much effort in getting the words out I just smile and can’t wait to walk away
