Work being difficult

I m at the stage where I am struggling to do my job and want to finish , they did make adjustments but there’s part of the job they can’t change ie. Going out to clients houses, meetings in schools etc. I want to take sick leave first , but my manager wants a letter from the consultant to say that I can’t work now . I do feel I’m getting a lot of pressure to go but wanted to do it on my terms in the new year for example. My symptoms are worsening my speech is affected now.
How did you make the decision to finish work ?

Hia Julie, there was a post earlier in the week. It is a difficult position and decision to make. You mentioned a request for a letter, i dont understand this. You are within your rights to go off with sickness (regardless of PD). Your GP should be able to extend notes if you are struggling to manage your symptoms. You mentioned adjustments had been put in place, when, how frequently are these reviewed? Have you had access to occupational health through your employer? What if any recommendations/adjustments and how these are supported? I appreciate this is a lot of information to absorb, please feel free to PM me. I have been through this process and after struggling for 18 months i left work and went down ill health retirement route. Take care Ana

Hia Julie i have sent you some information on PM
