Hi Babswood and Sheffy
My husband’s condition is worsening… He has sepsis and is hallucinating and unresponsive,
He had had intravenous antibiotics and the doctor is hopeful he will improve by tomorrow. My daughter and I have come home from the hospital for a break and will go back later.
It is very hard to see him like this…your kind words help…
Love

Good luck with the PIP Gus.
Suspect I shall be “moved over” from DLA soon.
Make sure you do rest as he wiĺ need you whe he comes around.
Praying everything works out okay.
We’re with you in mind and soul, as babswood says you must get rest as well, I know it is easier said than done. Hope you find all is well today when you visit hubby again.
I’m off line for a couple of days, but still thinking about you, take care.

There is always hope CG.
OH was in hospital for 101 days with a life threatening double pneumonia, followed by other complications ,but thankfully he came home. It has affected his Parkinsons symptoms a great deal, and he is no longer independent, but he is out of hospital. Hope you have the same outcome.
Stay strong and, I know it’s difficult, but try to also stay positive.

Hi Gus,
Could you give us a bit more information on what you saw, on which channel, etc.? That would help us find out for you what this was.
GG, I’ll be thinking of you and hoping that things improve soon for you all.
Best wishes to all,

Moderation Team.
Hi @gus,
Apologies for my delayed response to your query; I passed it onto our media team for them to look into it.
In light of the information they’ve shared, it would appear the news coverage you saw included some old footage from one of our researchers, Claire Bale, which ITV West Country News re-purposed for their recent news story on Parkinson’s. We suspect that this was set up locally, therefore, we didn’t know much about it.
Did you have any concerns about this our were you asking out of curiosity? Please let me know.
Best wishes,
Reah
No concerns be nice if you could get something on national tv. Cheers

Well update on my pip yesterday I received letter saying they have not had any medical evidence,I sent information from 2007- 2018 cost £8.60 to send recorded and signed,So more worry phoned up ! Luckily enough I agreed to text messages saying how my claim is going and I got one saying thank you we have received medical evidence so the man on the phone looked up my pip information and said yes we have got you papers a lot of it he said and asked what date is on the letter I replied 2nd June and he said sorry for sending and disregard letter wow this is just the start
Hi Gus pleased you are getting some response to your PIP claim now, it is so long winded!!

It’s human discrimination
Well I have had pd for 11yrs 46 tablets a day dbs, got my pdsw fill my forms in and ask for home visit, letter arrived through post today say I have to go to there centre for a face to face.so I phoned pip and said I would not be able to attend need home visit they said they have looked at all my medical information 2007 to 2018 and they decided need to go to them .I mentioned that I’ve got to go to hospital for new dbs generator they replied if I can make a hospital visit then I would be able to attend there centre. I said my daughter is taken me and if I did not go to hospital for new dbs generator I would not be able to function. The hospital would not come to me.So I said I would get my pdsw phone them when she’s back from leave on 26th wow it’s interecation not a health assessment. Will keep you informed does pduk have any views on this
Unbelievable, what a disgrace.
I feel quite ill I’m laid on couch at moment feeling sick
I can imagine, not sure what’s going on on this country, makes my bloody blood boil.
What was all that the DWP have been told to get a grip on PIP stuff, probably just hot air. People should not be treated in this way.
