Hi @Bexby ,
We have had members in the past share their experiences with ‘hot flushes’ which is mostly attributed to the menopause, however, some have experienced as a result of their medication. I have listed a few threads below for your attention:
Anyone else suffer with a burning sensation in their feet, especially in bed?
Hi there,
I joined this forum many years ago, but haven't been here for quite a while. I was diagnosed age 42 and am now 50. I take sinemet plus to control my pd symptoms which are mainly rigidity, slow movement, and seemingly loss of physical and mental dexterity. I also take sertraline for depression and HRT to control hot flushes. I work part time and have grown up children and grandchildren. I am currently struggling with a mixture of symptoms and side effects (it's hard to know which is wh…
Hey all, Quick question, I was dx 2weeks ago with Parkin gene mutation. I am on ropinerole starting at 2mg and ramping by 2mg a week upto 12mg. I am currently on the last 3 days of 4mg and finding it increasingly hard to regulate my temperature. I am hot literally all the time, sweating and overheating to the point of collapse. Is this a side effect or yet something else that's wrong with me? Thanks in advance.
I was prescribed Amantadine two months ago alongside my Sinemet, but I developed quickly a big list of nightmare side-effects and had to stop taking it. Unfortunately, the swollen ankles and the all-over, red-skinned hot-flushes have carried on happening. Has anyone else had these problems? I just want to know if I can expect them to subside with time, or do they need treating?
Thanks.
I’d also encourage you to consult with your GP about this as they may need to review your medication. In the meantime, do give our helpline a call for more support on this.
Best wishes,
Reah
