Sleeping problems can be common with some people affected by Parkinson’s. I know this has been spoken about on the forum frequently and I’ve listed a few threads on the forum below that you may find helpful:
I go through phases of sleeping well to sleeplessness. I have discovered that getting out of bed makes the situation worse for me. I awaken more and going back to sleep is nigh on impossible. I have tried sleeping tablets but they were not really helping and I felt very groggy. Herbal tablets help me as they seem to make the relaxation before bedtime easier.
Hi I am having problems sleeping I all ways have broken sleep I am up early for work and I always feel tired but when it comes to bed time I am not sleeping very well any one got any ideas which might help

Problems with sleep seem common, empathise with you as your mum is missing out on having some enjoyment in life. Side effects of some meds make you sleepy ? have a look at the leaflet in her meds boxes. Depression can also make you tired out and feel like going into hibernation check this with her g.p? also parky is tiring in itself and every moment is potentially exhausting.
