What age is everyone?

Hiya, and welcome
My O/H was diagnosed at 41 and is now 50 although I think today he feels like he's 90! lol
Hi all,

I'm 58 and dx 1 month ago although it is now obvious that the symptoms have been present and building up for at least 10 years.
My GP says that it has been very slow developing so will continue to be slow getting worse. Hope he is right!
Hi all,
I'm 59. Looking back I've had symptoms for at least 20 years, though it was not until summer 1994 that I realised what was happening was not normal. I was treated for Parkinsonism for six years before dx of PD in 2000, confirmed by DaT scan about three years ago.
Hi all. I'm 63. Noticed myself slowing up nearly 20 years ago. Doc initially thought it was carpal tunnel problems in my left wrist, though he had no explanation for my left-sided limp. Finally diagnosed about four years ago. Currently progressing very slowly.
First symptoms presented themselves in 2005 when I was 35, misdiagnosed at 36 & again at 37 at Chelsea & Westminster - told there was nothing wrong with me and to get on with my life - it was in my imagination - diagnosed at 38 in a tiny hospital in Australia - completely blindsided - had my first child at 40 - now single mum at 42 - fighting it all the way in Vivienne Westwood , and red lipstick and setting up my own business x
Hi,
Iam 72 and hope to be 73 in August. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago and getting on reasonably well with ups and downs.
I take 2 requip 8mg and 4 Sinemet plus 25mg/100mg tablets per day.
I do not post much but read a lot on the forum and appreciate this facility very much.
Hi everyone.
Looking at all you 'youngsters', I am glad that if I had to have pd, it came in the later part of my life. At least I could enjoy my mid life with no pd problem I am 75 on 30 Apr and was dxd three years ago. Not to bad at the moment with good days and bad days. My motto is keep doing what you can as long as you can. Just remember, as bad as you feel on off days, look around you, there is always someone worse off. Best wishes to all of you where ever you are.

Hi, Mike is 74 in June. Diagnosed 2005 officially. On Madopar 62.5 x 6 per day. started on this 2007. He had a tremor in 2001. Interestingly has always had just surges of energy and then great tiredness , feeling of not being able to sustain holding arms in the air every since was a schoolboy. Following an illness he had bit like glandular fever but he said no one told him what the illness was. He now has what the neuro calls moderate parkinsons Sunray
:sunglasses: 52. ten years with PD only 5 since official diagnosis

My husband is 68 and myself 66yrs, he has had pd for thirty years and mu back problems since I was 29years. I went to a show the silver sounds of the sixties on sunday afternoon which was a great laugh to see how all the acts have aged but also to hear some great music. Hi everyone,

Im 43, diagnosed last yr, wrongly diagnosed initially with essential tremor. Not on any meds yet, feelin pretty positive at the moment, what u gonna do anyways! lol.
Hi Milly 68

I was mis- diagnosed too, initially with essential tremor, then they said it was due to Lyme Disease, which I had picked up from a deer tick , then they really didn't have a clue. My wife pushed hard for me to see a specialist, who confirmed Parkinsons within two minutes.

It's better knowing I guess - at least we can get proper help now?
I am 44 and was diagnosed aged 38. My husband is 43 and was diagnosed at age 37 (I think!)
