Hi Young Fed and Wye.....Thank you for your concern, to be honest i have felt a bit low since that B***** Colon test last week, i don't really know why except the griping in my tum and back like really bad indigestion is still there and i have no energy (not like me at all). I sometimes get bouts of Gastritis and used to take Cimetidine but now ive been told that it can interfere with Parky meds so they stuck me on Omeprazole which doesn't help at all, except give me more gas!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want something to ease the discomfort and bloating, also without making this flippin Diarreah worse. I think i will poodle off to see the local Pharmacist and get some advice. I want to be JOLLY DOLLY again not MELANCHOLY DOLLY will chat later........meanwhile keep smiling you lovely Rockers XX
ps. Dearest Fed excuse my ignorance but what is PTS?
Post Traumatic Shock, it can hit days later after any kind of shock to the system, it did happen to me once after the painful examination, I would weep for any reason, and felt I was no longer in control. I will explain more tomorrow as I am about to be parted from my ddpa, so I know whats coming next.
I hope and wish you a better day tommorow Doll and the end of your suffering

I don't know if this will help you but in the 2 years of help I got from a brilliant neuropsychologist following the horrors of my husband's DA OCDs, I was taught mindfulness techniques to become calm and stop the endless destructive thoughts that occupied my mind.
I cannot tell you how much it helped and without this, I doubt I would have survived.
There are many articles on the Internet about the breathing techniques and you can use the recordings from the Internet...just sit or lie down and relax to one of the tapes each day for about 20 mins.
Not much good at posting links , so just type " Christopher Germer mindfulness" into a Google box and give it a try?
Thanyou for your thoughtfull post I went into the link and found it very interesting, I made lots of visits to a excellent chap Dr Angus McGregor and I learned the benefits of CBT and still use this as a guideline when feeling off, alas Angus retired 2 yrs ago and I do miss our dicussions, he has not been replaced, cuts and all that. I am not too good today so I must be off.

Hello Dolly I am so pleased you are feeling better, I was worried for a while but I knew you would prevail in the face of adversity, you remind me of the scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the french soldier is up on the castle walls shouting at the English Knights "your mother was a camel and I f???t in your ,direction" just make sure you are downwind pun intended of friends and family, you cant keep a old rocker down eh my friend.
I wish you well Doll this laptop is plaing silly bs so I will take a small hammer to it
Good evening young Fed .......that scene was so funny from Monty Python especially when the cow came flying over the battlements..........ha ha!!! loved their humour, just potty. I do have a bit of a weird sense of humour or so ive been told....but better that than not to have one at all i guess..
I have always liked Rick Parfitt and boy can he play....have you also listened to Danny Gill playing Deep Purple and Stuart Bull playing Van Halen.......now he is amazing, how do they play that fast? i had an Acoustic guitar when i was a youngster and a Bert Weeden "Play in a day " booklet............lol. I had the thing for a year and never got a chord out of it ....also it was right handed and i am left so i blamed it on that..............I just wanted to be like Paul McCartney so i went back to strumming my old tennis racquet which actually sounded better!!My Son plays well and also the electric guitar and piano ....he certainly doesn't get his talent from me bless him, but his good looks.....yep i can take the credit for that
Hope you have had a fab weekend matey........keeeeeeeeeeeeeeep rockin'
Not heard from anyone on this site lately hope you are all OK. One of my favourite bands is Status Quo. Saw them in concert in the 80's they were brilliant. I think it was at Wembley. I think most people who can play guitar learnt by the Bert Weeden book. Your son sounds very talented Dolly. Fed I saw the clip on You Tube there were so many to choose from they all seemed good. As I said I hope you are both OK. (Fed I think your daughter was great to do what she did for pwp). Its amazing what you find out when you scroll trough the threads!!
Fear not my friend , you have not been forgotten ,I had a good but tiring day at, NTGH assisting with the student exams, if you see my post(I am proud of my work at NTGH) you will see how my day went ,it was very interesting seeing these young people learning their trade. I am off to see my Mothers new Suzuki Alto now she buys a new car every 4yrs without fail, she is 94 and still going like a train.
Will post later and update you, but please dont think we have forgottenyou4weeaveknot
Hello DOLLY, if you go on youtube and type (monkey trousers)a vic and bob creation and if your sense of humour is as zaney as mine UWILLLAUGHYERSEL INTO NEXT WEEK
Hija Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee .........to be honest i hadn't heard of Monkey trousers but it tickled me when on the croc botherer her pulled out his bush squirrell!!!! haha. One of my favs was Bubbles Devere in Little Britain played by Matt Lucas ...if you haven't seen it you can watch on you tube.....absolutely hilarious....think you would enjoy that. what about Mrs Browns Boys? love that sort of humour and they are going to make it into a film coming out next month i think. Hope you are having fun in the sun matey......
have left a msg on proud of my work.....brilliant Fed and so is your dear Mum...what a lady
Hi Wye.....good to hear from you and hope alls well? You are right we don't seem to have been on this thread for a bit, there seems to be so many now that sometimes its difficult to find the time to catch up. I would love to see Status Quo (i used to fancy Rick Parfitt) but then i fancied David essex like mad too!!!!! OMG i wnent to his concerts in Brighton most times when he was there and always got to stand in front of the stage..........im sure he was only singing to me loli kept a pair of little red lacy panties that half way through i used to throw onto the stage...but unlike Tom Jones, David was not very impressed and one night as i threw them the strobe lights were on and they seemed to go through the air and land on the stage by his foot in slow motion. He stopped singing and just looked at them whilst the audience were laughing and clapping...and he just said very seriously "i have never heard so much applause for an old pair of knickers" i think that was the day i realised that he wasn't for me haha. No humour!!! now he does nothing for me at all. Looks aren't everything as we realise as we mature. I like a good laugh....a real chuckle until i cry...i have a mate who when we are together are just like a couple of naughty kids at school, and we ache with laughter its fab.
Well off to beddy byes now, got line dancing in the morning, mustnt mess up me grapevine ay?
Look forward to hearing more of your stories Wye......memories .....love em
Did you watch the Beatles tribute last night, it was a repeat but it was interesting to see their history, but I dont enjoy other people singing Beatles music, it never sounds as good as the real thing does it, I have been listening to Fleetwood Mac over the weekend , I forgot how good they were, also I found a history of Steve Marriot, did you know he was just over 5ft tall, but what a voice, he turned into a very unpleasant bloke towards the end, when he died in that fire, tragic. How are you now Dolly I hope you are still feeling better here is a little quiz.
