Hello! I was diagnosed with young onset in October 2022. Tremor dominant and now dystonia in my leg stops me from walking which is driving me nuts. Still trying to work but itā€™s all really difficult. Just about to start on apomorphine pump. Would it be okay if I joined you next Thursday? Hoping for positivity and camaraderie.

Yesterday I attended a meeting that I was really looking forward to. But after one person talked for a half hour non-stop (at a 45-minute meeting only once a month) with no sign of stopping, I started to feel like a fool and just left the meeting. Little stupid and childish, I know. But one of the things I learned after my diagnosis is that I donā€™t allow things like that anymore. I know I should said that at the meeting, not writing here. I havenā€™t learned that yet, but Iā€™m trying. Iā€™m sick of people who acting like other people donā€™t exist and only enjoy their performance.

Hi diagnosed last year at 52. I also have multiple sclerosis so a double whammy for me. Still not come to terms with things and struggling mentally to accept diagnosis. Please can you add me for the next zoom meeting. Thank you in advance.

I was diagnosed in May this year at the age of 52 and as Iā€™m still working, found it difficult to find meetups during the evening. So I will try and join the next one, if thatā€™s OK.

Hi Pcyc, sorry I missed you all. Hope your are all well. I have finally moved house! Yayy!! I can see from the thread Paul there are a few more folk interested in joining. Iā€™ve now got commitment on a Thursday evening and am not going to be back in time for the meetings. Any chance of a show of hands for proposing an alternative evening, cheeky I know but missed you all.
